Vivek Murthy, 19th and 21st Surgeon General of the United States:

“Through our work advancing healthcare reform, I’ve come to know Dr. Krishnan Subrahmanian as a deeply committed physician and advocate for underserved communities,” said Murthy. “He leads with compassion and a strong sense of purpose. At a time when I’ve spoken about the impact of loneliness on our health and well-being, Krish offers something essential—he builds connection. He brings people together in ways that strengthen both community and care. That kind of leadership matters, and it’s what we need more of in public life.”

Retired Major General Dr. David Hamlar, Minnesota Air National Guard:

"I have seen Krish exemplify the core values of service before self, excellence, and integrity in spades — in the military, at the University of Minnesota, and in the community," said Ret. Maj. Gen. Hamlar, Minnesota Air National Guard. "He is experienced, kind, a bridge builder, and a problem solver. These are exactly the qualities we need at the State Capitol."

Alice Chen, Founder of Doctors for America:

“From the early days of Doctors for Obama to the founding of Doctors for America, Dr. Krishnan Subrahmanian was one of our most passionate advocates and most effective leaders,” said Chen. “He has continued that work across academic and clinical medicine, with a consistent focus on underserved communities. His depth of experience and understanding of health policy would be an extraordinary asset to the people of Minnesota.”

Dave Pinto, Minnesota State Representative:

“My legislative colleagues and I have known and worked with Dr. Krish for many years,” said Rep. Pinto. “Whether in legislative hearing rooms, agency meeting rooms, or behind the scenes, he brings deep policy expertise and a unique ability to make complex issues understandable and compelling. He was the keynote speaker for the first-ever meeting of a legislative committee focused on children and families—and impressed members from across the political spectrum.

Most importantly, Dr. Krish persistently advances a humane worldview that lifts up children and all those who lack a voice at the table. When I want policy change to happen, I want him there. I can’t think of anyone better suited to serve Minnesota in the state Senate.”

Laurie Pryor, Former Minnesota State Representative:

“I know Krish from his years of service to this community,” said Pryor. “With his background as a teacher, doctor, and member of our military — and his commitment to caring for our most vulnerable neighbors — I believe Krish is the right person to carry on Sen. Cwodzinski’s legacy of kindness and civility in politics as our next State Senator.”

Ron Case, Eden Prairie Mayor:

“Krish has served families in the exam room and served our country in uniform,” said Case. “He understands what it takes to solve problems, earn trust and build solutions together.”

Patrick Lee-O’Halloran, Former Director and Chair of the Minnetonka School Board

PG Narayanan, Eden Prairie City Council Member:

“Krish is from this community and knows this community,” said Narayanan. “We need his voice in the State Senate — as a champion for kids and families, an advocate for a government that works, and a defender of our values as Minnesotans and rights as Americans.”

A Message from Eden Prairie and Minnetonka Community Leaders

Friends,

Dr. Krishnan (Krish) Subrahmanian is a beloved local physician and dedicated active community member who lives in Eden Prairie with his wife and three children. Dr. Krish serves as Chief Medical Officer at Hennepin Health and co-chairs the Early Childhood Caucus for the American Academy of Pediatrics Minnesota Chapter.

Like Senator Cwodzinski, Krish has had a life-long passion for service. His early work included combating the HIV epidemic in sub-Saharan Africa and helping children with critical illness through the Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative and SeriousFun camps. In addition to being a celebrated physician, he is an educator, teaching at the University of Minnesota medical school, as well as a member of the Air National Guard, where he has served as an Air Force flight surgeon.

This is a small example, maybe, but it's one we think of: as coach to his son's Little League team, Krish encouraged the kids not only to have fun and to play to win, but also to cheer on the other team when they made their own good plays. The point was clear: winning does not require putting anyone else down.

We are supporting Krish for office because we believe our community deserves leaders who bring people together, who listen first, speak with respect, and lead with heart. The spirit that makes Eden Prairie and Minnetonka great places to raise a family is the same spirit that can guide our state forward: one of kindness, stewardship, and shared purpose.

Krish is the right choice for this moment because he has what it takes to give back and to help ensure that every Minnesotan has the opportunity to grow, thrive, and belong. Please consider joining us in support of Krish for Senate District 49.
